Codeanywhere’s Devboxes are booming! Ever since the launch a little less than a year ago, their usage has been growing exponentially. More and more users use cloud IDE as their primary development environment because it's faster than setting up your own local development environment and it's available anywhere.

However, it's still not fast enough for some. Many of our users have asked for even more custom predefined development environments.

Today, we are happy to announce the second batch of predefined development environments: MEAN, Laravel, Sails.js, Wordpress & Symfony.

MEAN (http://mean.io/) is a fullstack JavaScript platform for modern web applications. MEAN is composed of and stands for; Mongodb, Express.js, Angular.js, Node.js. This framework allows for rapid set up and deployment of web apps, websites, web services and APIs.

Laravel (http://laravel.com/) is one of the most popular open source PHP web application frameworks. Laravel is designed for the development of model–view–controller (MVC) web applications.

Sails.js (http://sailsjs.org) makes it easy to build custom, enterprise-grade Node.js apps. It is designed to mimic the MVC pattern of frameworks like Ruby on Rails, but with support for the requirements of modern apps: data-driven APIs with scalable, service-oriented architecture.

Wordpress (https://wordpress.org/) is a free and open-source blogging tool and a content management system based on PHP and MySQL. WordPress was used by more than 23.3% of the top 10 million websites as of January 2015. It is the most popular blogging system in use on the Web, at more than 60 million websites.

Symfony (http://symfony.com/) is a PHP web application framework for MVC applications. It is created as a set of reusable PHP components. The standard foundation on which the best PHP applications are built. Choose any of the 29 stand-alone components available for your own applications.
